Our vein treatments are designed to safely and effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted veins, including spider veins, reticular veins, and small varicose veins. Using advanced, minimally invasive techniques like sclerotherapy, we help restore smoother, clearer-looking skin with little to no downtime.
This approach is ideal for patients looking for a non-surgical, effective solution to visible veins on the legs or face.
How Treatment Works
At Simplicity Medspa, we use Asclera®, a prescription injectable solution specifically formulated for vein treatment. During the procedure, Asclera is carefully injected into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and gradually be reabsorbed by the body. Over time, the treated veins fade and are replaced with healthy tissue.
A typical session lasts 15–45 minutes, depending on the treatment area. Multiple injections may be performed during each session, and follow-up treatments may be recommended for optimal results. After treatment, compression stockings are usually worn for a few days to support healing and improve outcomes.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure where a specialized solution is injected into unwanted veins. This causes the veins to close off and gradually fade as the body naturally absorbs them.
-
Asclera is a prescription injectable used during sclerotherapy to treat uncomplicated spider veins and small varicose veins. It works by damaging the inner lining of the vein, causing it to clot and eventually be replaced with tissue.
-
Varicose veins are larger, often blue or dark purple veins that can bulge or twist beneath the skin. They are most commonly found on the legs.
-
Spider veins are smaller, fine red or blue veins that appear close to the surface of the skin. They often resemble thin lines, branches, or spider webs.
-
Reticular veins (also known as feeder veins) are blue or green veins beneath the skin. They can contribute to the formation of spider veins and are often caused by increased pressure in the veins.
-
These veins can develop due to several factors, including:
Genetics (family history)
Aging and weakened vein valves
Hormonal changes (puberty, pregnancy, menopause, birth control)
Pregnancy-related pressure on veins
Excess weight
Prolonged sitting or standing
-
Each session typically takes 15–45 minutes. Multiple sessions may be needed depending on the number and size of veins being treated, usually spaced 1–2 weeks apart.
-
You may be advised to wear compression stockings for 2–3 days following treatment. Normal activities can usually be resumed quickly, and results will gradually improve over time.
